I’ll Show You… Bastion (PC, 2011)

Welcome to another episode of I’ll Show You Mine! This week James is showing Elyse ‘Bastion’ from 2011. The debut game from now-hotshot developer Supergiant Games, ‘Bastion’ is an action RPG that follows the story of The Kid, a silent protagonist who wakes up in the fantasy world of Caelondia after the apocalyptic events of the Calamity. As he attempts to fix The Bastion, a kind of floating base camp that might have the power to reverse the Calamity, his adventures are narrated by a mysterious stranger.

Join us as we discuss the impressive art, music, voice acting and mechanics of this game, compare it to Supergiant’s latest hit ‘Hades’, and marvel at how much the tiny team at Supergiant was able to achieve for this debut indie game.
